Let’s face it, everybody loves the Irish. The UK loves it so much that in 1920 it decided to keep part of it! St Patrick’s Day is the day when everyone gets to be a little bit Irish and celebrate in a way that the tee-total St Patrick would definitely approve of, with a wee drop of Guinness. We’re not just stopping there though, this little red boat has plenty on offer to make you jig with joy.
Firstly, we have two new cocktails exclusively for Paddy’s Day. The Shamrock Shaker with Amaretto, Kahlua, milk and a bit of gold dust we’ve managed to steal from a leprechaun. Then there’s Shamrock Juice which consists of Bombay Sapphire gin, Jose Cuervo Tequila, Smirnoff Vodka, Bacardi, Blue Bols and orange juice. I’ve tried it and it goes down very easily.
As far as shots go we have the Shillelagh (shil-lay-lee) Slammer with Midori, Baileys and Jamesons topped with popping candy. Last but definitely not least, we’ve scoured the country just to bring you Poitin (pot-cheen). At 61.5% abv this is not for the faint-hearted and is a precursor to American Moonshine. It works well with any mixer but if you really want to bring out flavour and have it the traditional way, just add a few ice cubes, some good company and let the craic flow.
This is all in addition to some great Bargecard offers too, just ask at the bar.
